Established 1973 "Communities Working Together to Protect our Rivers" The Saco River Corridor Commission is committed to protect public health, safety and the quality of life for the State of Maine through the regulation of land and water uses, protection and conservation of the region's unique and exceptional natural resources and through the prevention of impacts caused by incompatible development.
 Saturday, June 2nd (Rain Date – Sunday, June 3rd)
This two-hour canoe trip and clean-up will involve pulling garbage, tires, boots and other interesting surprises from the Saco River. Proceeds from this event help provide scholarship opportunities for children to participate in Ferry Beach Ecology School residential environmental education programs. 
The next SRCC meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the Porter Town Hall, 71 Main Street, Porter, Maine. Deadline to file applications for the May meeting is May 9, 2012.
SRCC's Meeting for June is scheduled for Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the Porter Town Hall, 71 Main Street, Porter, Maine. Deadline to file applications for the June meeting is Wednesday, June 6, 2012.
The July, 2012 meeting will be held on July 25, 2012. The deadline to file applications for the July meeting is Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
